Yurie is Aswari`s older twin sister. She is also extremely jealous of Aswari.
Yurie thinks that Mother hates her and felt that Mother always ignored her. Yurie felt that Aswari was always showing off and everyone wanted to be her friend and not Yurie`s. Yurie did however gain a couple of friends with her devious ways. Yurie began to hate and despise Aswari so much often calling her a little witch so she started monitoring Aswari from a distance taking note of those who she was close to. Yurie started hurting them to get to Aswari but what Yurie didn’t count upon was Aswari turning around and hurting Yurie`s own small group of friends so Yurie started hurting her and Aswari started going for Yurie in return. It wasn’t long before the twins ended up fighting and hurting each other seriously every day. Eventually, Mother sent the two girls to this Planet to resolve their differences.
That was many years ago and they still haven’t stopped fighting. Following being taken from Cosmo Canyon by Kodaj, Yazoo and Loz, Yurie joined the Remants` search for Sephiroth`s cells. She also found some "companionship" from Yazoo. They found them at a church in Sector 5 and Kodaj used the cells and became Sephiroth. Yurie got together with Sephiroth but couldn`t tell Yazoo. This, subsequently, caused trouble for her when, after being caugth by Sephiroth with Yazoo, was forced to choose between Yazoo and Sephiroth.
Yurie chose Sephiroth.
Following the confrontation between herself, Sephiroth and her sister, Aswari, and Aswari`s boyfriend Reno, Yurie was kept on her toes by ending up in relationships with Loz, Yazoo and also Sephiroth. She has also had a one-night stand with Rufus Shinra.
Despite this, Yurie has yet agian chose Sephiroth over all of them but Yazoo just can`t seem to get the message that Yurie no longer loves him.
Yurie`s gretest desire is to kill her sister whom, despite the twins` civil chats every now and then, Yurie still despises. Yurie can’t wait to see Aswari die and to be the one to kill her too.
